Recorded video screening without calendar coordination
Digital Arrow supports asynchronous video screening as a question type inside candidate screening questionnaires. A company adds a timed video-answer prompt, assigns the questionnaire to an applicant or shares an external link, and reviews the recorded response after submission.
- Best for
- Recruiters who want a recorded first-round response without scheduling a live interview.
- Replaces
- Coordinating calendars simply to ask every candidate the same initial question.
- Availability
- Recorded video questions require the current Video Interviews add-on. Check Pricing for up-to-date availability and terms.

What asynchronous video screening means here
It means recorded candidate answers collected through a questionnaire, not a live video meeting.
An asynchronous, or one-way, video response lets the candidate and reviewer participate at different times. The recruiter defines the prompt and duration first. The candidate records later, and the team reviews after the full questionnaire is submitted.
In Digital Arrow, video is one supported questionnaire format rather than a separate live-call room. That makes it suitable for a consistent early screening prompt while keeping text and multiple-choice questions in the same assignment.
The candidate recording flow
The candidate opens a secure assignment path and records the response in the browser.
The public questionnaire first presents the assignment and its questions. When the candidate reaches a video prompt, the browser handles camera and microphone access and uploads the recorded response for submission.
Teams should make the prompt and maximum duration clear. Digital Arrow provides the recording workflow; the hiring team remains responsible for deciding when video is appropriate and how the response will be reviewed.
Human review, with clear product boundaries
A reviewer opens the submitted response; the current product does not claim AI video scoring.
The assignment view shows whether a response is pending or submitted. After submission, a team member can open the recorded answer alongside the other questionnaire answers.
Digital Arrow does not currently present transcripts, automatic video scores, live interview scheduling, interviewer ratings or automated hiring decisions as part of this feature. Stating that boundary helps buyers compare it accurately with dedicated video-interview suites.
